Biondo Creative seeking an experienced WordPress Web Designer with a deep hands-on understanding of the Divi Builder to join our team. As a WordPress Web Designer you should be well-versed in all aspects of web design and comfortable navigating ambiguity and establishing relationships with clients. This role is ideal for creative professionals who are comfortable working independently, can design clean, modern-looking websites from scratch without a Figma UI/UX handoff, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
The ideal candidate understands what makes a great website, knows how to bring client’s visions to life, and can build custom, engaging sites using Divi’s theme builder, presets, and layout options. Experience with Elementor and other platforms, such as Squarespace and Wix, is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation of polished and usable WordPress websites using Divi Builder (primary) and Elementor (secondary)
- Translate client conversations, reference sites, and brand vision into unique, fully responsive website designs
- Work independently without relying on pre-made designs or mockups
- Build reusable components using Divi’s theme builder and presets
- Manage your time to balance multiple design priorities effectively
- Ensure technical excellence, attention to detail, and visual appeal across all projects
- Communicate proactively around timelines, deliverables, and roadblocks
- Collaborate with our team using project management tools like ClickUp or Asana
- Perform troubleshooting, optimizations, and post-launch updates as needed
- Stay up to date on current themes, trends, and technologies in user interface design
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience designing custom websites in WordPress
- 3+ years of experience with HTML/CSS/JS
- 3+ years of experience with Adobe Photoshop/Adobe Illustrator
- Proven portfolio of web design work, especially Divi-based builds
- Strong grasp of design fundamentals: spacing, hierarchy, mobile responsiveness, UX best practices
- Comfort designing in a blank-canvas environment—no Figma handoffs required
- Experience using Divi theme builder, global presets, and custom layout packs
- Experience with Elementor and other builders like Avada or Gutenberg is a plus
- Experience with other platforms like Squarespace and Wix is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented, deadline-focused, and highly responsive
- Experience with testing websites to ensure websites are defect free
- Must be available during U.S. Eastern Time standard business hours, as this aligns with client availability and communication needs.
Compensation:
- Pay is hourly by assignment or flat project fee based on a Scope of Work.
